Like California itself, the state’s accommodations are diverse and divine. Quirky inns. Luxurious resorts. Hip hotels. California has them all, and each property welcomes guests with unique Golden State style and hospitality. The coming year will bring even more lodging options to travelers, as new properties open across the state. Here are 14 cool new hotels and resorts to check out in 2020, listed from north to south:

Guests can indulge in “terroir-to-table” cuisine with a French twist at the onsite restaurant, sip garden-fresh cocktails at the poolside bar, or unwind with grape-themed spa services.
