10 Cool Things About the Napa Valley Wine Train

Go car-free—and in vintage style—for wine-tasting and locavore dining in wine country
Posted 8 months agoby Katrina Hunt

It’s one of the easiest ways to explore California wine country—and have a designated driver (or, rather, conductor) close at hand. Climb aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train and you can gaze out the windows at the rolling, vineyard-covered countryside, then stop and sip at some of the best wineries in Napa Valley. The train’s restored Pullman railcars are like time machines in themselves—with dining rooms decked out in marble and wood, and foodie-magnet meals prepared in the train’s three onboard kitchens.

And of course, there is no shortage of wine. The train’s private label is bottled by nearby Raymond Winery, but you can also choose from the on-board wine list or dabble in flights of red, white, sweet, or Napa Valley. Read on for 10 fun facts about this cool train experience.
