There are no tricks at the annual Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland Resort—only treats and family-friendly fun from Mickey and his gang. Guests at this special Halloween-themed party get exclusive access to Disney California Adventure Park on select evenings during September and October, with special attractions and events designed to deliver friendly thrills rather than scare-your-socks-off terror. Your special ticket grants you access to the Anaheim park before the evening festivities, too.
Dress up your little ones (and yourself), collect candies along the Treat Trails, and snap photos with Disney characters wearing their own Halloween costumes. Walk through the the illuminated forest scenes of the Villains Grove, located along the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, to see Disney’s most famous bad guys, such as Maleficent, the Queen of Hearts, and Dr. Facilier from Princess & the Frog. Don’t miss the Frightfully Fun Parade of classic characters as well as creatures like the Headless Horseman, and the after-dark fireworks display Halloween Screams.
Book your spots as early as possible for the Oogie Boogie Bash—tickets sell out fast every year. But even if you miss out on the actual event, there’s still plenty of Halloween Time fun to be had at both parks throughout September and October for all visitors. Disneyland Park’s Main Street is decked out with pumpkins, and the Haunted Mansion gets a macabre makeover inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. In Disney California Adventure Park, keep an eye out for costumed Cars characters and enjoy seasonally-enhanced rides such as the Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Guardians of the Galaxy— Monsters After Dark in the Avengers Campus.
