Fall 2025 Hotel Deals in California

Score free hotel nights, gift cards, spa treatments, and more when you know where to book

Here’s some good news for anyone who’s pricing out a fall getaway: There are plenty of California hotel deals out there—providing you know where to find them.

Start your planning with a few easy hacks. First, check out your destination’s tourism board website: You’re likely to find special offers that range from free nights to dining credits to wine-tasting specials.

Those deals are even better if you can travel on weekdays or stay for at least three nights. That’s especially true in wine regions such as Napa ValleySonoma CountySanta Ynez Valley, and Temecula Valley. Bonus: September is California Wine Month, so wineries around the state are offering discounts or special activities to celebrate.

Read on for some great examples of such deals, discounts, and freebies all over the Golden State.

Northern California

Clio: Third Night Free at Nakoma Resort

Explore Plumas County’s Lost Sierra area from this luxury retreat that boasts a championship golf course, villas, and a Frank Lloyd Wright–designed lodge. Its September to Remember deals include a third night free, $100 daily credits, or a free round of golf. Or enjoy unlimited golf during October with its Stay and Play package.

Fort Bragg: 25 percent off at Newport Ranch

This Fort Bragg inn sits on 2,200 acres and features a working cattle ranch, more than 25 miles of private hiking trails, and sweeping ocean views. Celebrate its 10th anniversary by taking 25 percent off stays during September, or choose from its other packages that bundle in meals or outings for mushroom foraging.

Nevada City: Leaf-peeping deal at National Exchange Hotel

Plan a fall foliage trip around this historic Gold Country hotel in Nevada City. The deal reduces the rate by 15 percent and includes a few niceties, such as a $25 dining credit and a map of colorful fall foliage walks in the Sierra foothills. Good for two-night stays, during the week, between Oct. 5 and Nov. 20.

Yountville: 20 percent off and $200 in wine credits at Estate Yountville

Enjoy fall’s Cabernet season in Napa Valley at this 22-acre resort in Yountville. This deal offers 20 percent off the regular rate and includes a $200 drink credit along with a welcome glass of Cab upon arrival, followed by evening tastings. Good for stays of at least two nights through Nov. 18.

Sonoma County: Third night free at various Sonoma County hotels

Choose from 19 hotels around Sonoma County—such as the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn Resort & Spa and the Art House Hotel & Suites in Santa Rosa—that are offering Third Night Free deals. Blackout dates and restrictions vary by property; some are good through September, and others as late as March 2026.

San Francisco: Happy Glamper package at the Hyatt Regency

Bring the whole crew to this hotel on San Francisco’s Embarcadero. The family-friendly package creates an in-room camping experience for kids, complete with a seasonal treat kit, popcorn, movie, and seasonal mocktails. Parents can enjoy the waived destination fee and cocktails for themselves. Use the code CAMP; good through Dec. 31.
 


Santa Cruz: $50 dining credit at new Santa Cruz hotel

Be among the first to experience La Bahia Hotel & Spa, a new luxury hotel near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Choose from deals that build in spa credits or perks for your pup; it’s hard to argue with the Sunrise Package that includes an easy $50 dining credit at its onsite restaurant.

Central California

Mammoth Mountain: 50 percent off a second night

Make the most of the autumn shoulder season and leaf-peeping at Mammoth Mountain. Stay one night at the regular rate with the resort’s Fall in Love with Mammoth deal, and you get 50 percent off your second night. Or stay two nights and get the third night free. Participating hotels include Mammoth Mountain Inn, The Village Lodge, Juniper Springs Resort, and Tamarack Lodge. Book by Nov. 12 and stay by Nov. 14.

Visalia: 10 percent off plus $30 dining at The Darling Hotel

The Darling Hotel in downtown Visalia is extending summer with this deal that takes an easy 10 percent off the rate and includes a $30 dining credit at the hotel’s Elderwood restaurant. Good through Sept. 30. The hotel makes a great launching point to enjoy the fall scenery in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks (which you can enter for free on Sept. 27 for Public Lands Day).
 


Santa Barbara: Third night free deals 

Choose from nearly 20 Santa Barbara hotels and resorts, ranging from the family-friendly Best Western Plus to the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, Bacara—and you can score a third night free. Blackout dates vary by property, but most deals are good through Dec. 31. Some offers, such as the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, are good until May 31, 2026.

Southern California

Los Angeles: 25 percent off at Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel

Stay just outside Beverly Hills at this moderately priced boutique hotel on Sunset Blvd. with both a tennis court and a pool with cabanas. When you book at least one week ahead, you can take 25 percent off the rate and enjoy a $25 daily dining credit, which can also be used for in-room dining and poolside service. 

Fall Deals in California

Rancho Palos Verdes: 50 percent off at Terranea Resort

Autumn is extra blissful at this oceanfront resort in L.A. County which features four pools, a golf course, a sumptuous spa, kids’ activities, and farm-to-table dining. Its Autumn Escape offer takes a whopping 50 percent off the Best Rate and includes a $100 daily resort credit and complimentary parking, plus a waived resort fee. Use promotional code FALL. Good through Dec. 31.

Big Bear: Ski free on your birthday

Opening day for Big Bear Mountain, Snow Valley, and Snow Summit will soon be announced, and the season could last well into spring again. If your birthday coincides with that time frame, redeem a free lift ticket at the mountains’ ticket window on your special day.

Do you have an early fall or summer birthday? You can get the freebie during the rest of the year and cash it in for a lift ticket at the Bike Park or the Scenic Sky Chair; a ticket for the climbing wall at Snow Summit; or a free round of golf at Bear Mountain Golf Course.

Santa Monica: Save 25 percent and get a $100 credit

Getting either 25 percent off or a $100 resort credit at a hotel is nice, but this deal in Santa Monica offers both, and at two of the beach town’s most luxe resorts. Book a stay at either Casa del Mar or Shutters on the Beach and you can score up to 25 percent off on three-to-five-night stays with their Stay More, Save More deals.

Palm Springs: Extra night free at Parker Palm Springs

Make the most of the desert’s shoulder season at this midcentury modern classic in Palm Springs. Book at least three nights and get your last night free; available through Sept. 30.

Check out more Greater Palm Springs hotel deals, such as 33 percent off three nights at the Palm Mountain Resort and Spa, a mellow boutique hotel in downtown Palm Springs; offer valid through Dec. 30.

Anaheim: $104 tickets and up to 20 percent off hotels at Disneyland

Early fall is a great time to enjoy low-key days at Disneyland Resort. Not only are its Halloween festivities in full swing, but you can also snag one-day tickets for as low as $104 in September.

Book your hotel while you’re at it and enjoy up to 20 percent off stays of three nights or more at the hotels at Disneyland Resort, including Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, The Disneyland Hotel, and The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. Good for stays through Dec. 19.

Laguna Beach: Third night free at The Ranch at Laguna Beach

Fall is a nice time to stroll the art galleries in Laguna Beach and feel like you have the beaches to yourself. This mellow resort sits just across the road from the beach and has its own nine-hole golf course, a spa, and unique amenities including stargazing nights and meet and greets with local owls and hawks. Stay for three nights and get the third night comped, as well as that night’s parking and resort fees. Good through Dec. 31.

Riverside: Spa package at Mission Inn

Riverside’s Mission Inn always offers a fun array of packages, from birthdays to deals around its holiday-season lights. This fall, consider their Tranquil Escape deal, which combines a great starting rate of $239 with a $50 credit at the onsite spa, and ups the ante with both early check-in (2 p.m.) and late checkout (1 p.m.) to maximize your spa time. Good for stays through Nov. 20.

Temecula: $50 gift cards every night

Two winery resorts in Temecula Valley—South Coast Winery and Carter Estate—are offering a serious deal for September’s California Wine Month. With their Autumn Awaits specials, you get a $50 gift card for each night of your stay, to be used at South Coast Winery's Vineyard Rose Restaurant, the GrapeSeed Spa, or at Carter Estate's Tasting Room and Winery Gift Shop. Stay by September 30.

La Jolla: 35 percent off at two hotels

Choose from a variety of deals at a duo of La Jolla hotels—the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club and La Jolla Shores Hotel—with their easy access to the beach, tennis courts, and kayaking. The Endless Summer deal takes 35 percent off weekday stays; good through December 31. For weekends, book at least 14 days in advance to take an easy 20 percent off the best available rate.

Or book the Beach & Tennis Club’s 90th Anniversary special, which includes one night in a beachfront suite and throws in a long list of perks such as a beach barbecue set-up, a 30-minute family photo session on the beach, and a ride in the hotel’s 1915 Packard known as the Old Black Goose.
