Clear out your smartphone storage and get that selfie stick ready: A Central Coast–inspired Instagram experience is coming to SoCal. Next week, the Chroma: Santa Barbara County Pop-Up Shop will open in Americana at Brand in Glendale. For three days, November 2–4, the interactive shop will delight visitors with photo-friendly visual displays, highlighting the stunning colors and tasty delicacies that the area has to offer.
Chroma visitors will embark on a miniature road trip through Santa Barbara County, each room highlighting a different color and regional wonder. Pop-up shoppers will start in Santa Barbara where the focus will be on coastal winter beauty laced with crimson. Think red leaves, highlights from the Red Tile Walking Tour, and an indoor swing. Stop in Santa Ynez Valley to celebrate the area’s wineries with more than 100 glasses and hanging vines. Get a taste of Santa Maria’s famous barbecue thanks to bright peppers hanging from the ceiling and neon roadside signs. In Goleta, it’s all yellow, where the focus will be on the Lemon Festival, held every September.
The experience ends with local wine and beer tastings and seasoning samples. Visitors inspired to turn their social media day into a real-life adventure can do so at one of the concierge stations, offering 30 picture-perfect vacation packages.
The fully curated packages include a foodie experience at Belmond El Encanto: Bike with the chef to the Santa Barbara Farmer’s Market to select fresh produce for an intimate dinner. Or try the Ride, Wine, and Dine at Fess Parker Wine Country Inn for a horseback ride complemented by a picnic lunch catered by The Bear and Star.
The packages are currently available and anyone can book. Visitors of Chroma, however, will be treated to exclusive in-person discounts and the chance to win a five-day Santa Barbara Country road trip. Follow along with the colorful fun with the hashtag #ChromaSB and through @VisitSantabarbara.
