For Star Wars fans, the 4th won’t be the most exciting day of May this year. Instead, it will be May 31, when the much-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. Keep in mind, to visit Galaxy's Edge between May 31 and June 23, you’ll need to book a free reservation ahead of time.
Covering 14 acres, this will be the largest themed land at any Disney park, and that acreage seems to have been used well: In keeping with Disneyland’s amazing way of enriching every square inch with detail, Galaxy’s Edge has left no otherwordly stone unturned. Fans will enjoy spotting elements that recall the movies’ characters and scenes throughout the grounds—even drinking blue or green milk, the way Luke Skywalker likes it. “Cast member” staffers are dressed in character and you can also cultivate your own Jedi lifestyle, from making a personal droid to customizing a light saber.
